New Gallery - Micro-Dunes
Photography of sand dunes isn't new. It was done by the great masters such as Edward Weston and Brett Weston long time ago, and resulted in breathtaking, some say even erotic images. The gentle lines of the sand dunes, contrasted by the harsh lighting of early morning or late afternoon, creates striking curves and tones. Maybe it's the best subject to demonstrate what light in photography is all about.
This was inspired by Brett Weston's White Sands images.
