When the clouds stood still

One autumn morning, as the sun rose, the fog on the cliff edge decided to stand still. Some of it was still spilling into the crater, but the thing that impressed me most with this scene - was those gigantic, formidable low clouds, threatening to cover the horizon - but remaining just where they are, as if they were waiting for a cue.
